What you should know before buying a 1080p HD camcorder

1080p camcorder
HD camcorder requirement are boosting these days along with increased number of HD TV being bought.Just like other electronic gadgets, the cost of HD camcorders keep going down while video quality is geting better.Camcorder manufacturers are lauching variety of models to suit the need of customers.

Why  HD camcorders is better than Standard definition comcorders ?

Just like HD TV,HD camcorders surpass SD  camcorders in video resoluiton. The video shown on television or computer monitor actually is formed by hundreds of lines. The more lines means higher resolution yields  more vivid video. Only video that has 1080 horizonal lines can be called high definition video whileas SD video only has 480.

What’s the different between 1080p and  1080i ?

1080p, 1080i, and 720p are the primary resolutions of High Definitiion. HD camcorders on the market mainly adopt either 720p or 1080i resolution to shoot the video, but there are more and more 1080p comcorders  appearing on the market.

P and i stands for two difference ways of video scanning. The “p” means progressive scan, the “i” means interlaced.

In the Interalced video mode , the camcorder will record video in two passes, first odd line by odd line ,then even line by even line, begin by lines 1,3,5.. and followed later bylines 2,4,6…

In the progressvie scan mode, video is scaned line by line,no skipping any more, start from line one to line 1080 in one pass.Progressvei scan video especially have better performance for watching sport matches or fast-motion moives.

“Full HD”

Full HD is an advertising word created by camcorder manufacturers that refers to 1920×1080 recording resolution.

“AVCHD”

AVCHD is a  HD video format used by Sony, Panasonic and Canon. It’s a technique to compress HD video and using digital storage media like hard disk drives and flash memory cards to save the video.

The Kinds of HD Camcorders

Like I said above.HD camocreder have three differnt recording resoltuons, beside ot this, they also have different shapes, sizes, and price. You would find price range from $200 for pocket models to $1000 for advanced 1080p  camcorders. There many kinds of  strorage media available, like hard disk drives, flash memory cards, blue ray discs etc.

Disavantage of  HD Camcords

Higher quality video  comes with huge sizes of file volumn, that means an HD camcorder will eat up your SDHC card, hard disk drive quickly.

Due to the larger video file sizes, HD video will also require your computer has enough processing capcity, otherwise there will be very slow to play it back or cant display at all.

VIDEO: First and foremost, the camera has great video even without any temperature lighting. It has a great soft movie like look to it naturally. I could not be more pleased with the quality of the video. AUDIO: It comes with a microphone input which is unheard of in this price range. Audio quality is pretty good but with any camera I would suggest a shotgun microphones attachment. FEATURES: Features are limited but this should be expected. The biggest downside is there are not attachment features on the camera for a lens, microphone, or light. You have to use the tripod mount which then makes it unable to be used on a tripod. OVERALL: This is a great HD camera for someone on a budget or just for home videos. Don’t pass it up unless you’re looking for a professional camera in the $1000-$2500 range.

I am not a picky person and I do not need multiple bells and whistles so I can honestly tell you this was worth buying. And better yet, it was a refurb. Brand new the camera sells for 700 buckaroos. I have had no issues with it. It is simple to use and I would recommend it to those currently shopping for an

I bought the camcorder for a trip to Mexico, Its amazing for hands free, up close shots. But I was really want to get shots of sail fish jumping when we were catching them. You can’t make that out on the recording because it’s somewhat far away. no zoom is a prolem, also the low light is not perfect. you would change some settingS when you connect the camera to the PC. Unless you have a laptop with you all day, you are not able to make the change at once. I still buy the camcorder because the price is very reasonable.
